He calls his father simply "Mohsen." Mohsen Vaziri Moghadam, one of Iran's most renowned artists—a painter and sculptor—would have turned 100 this year. On this occasion, Hamon Vaziri Moghadam, his son and the president of the Mohsen Vaziri Moghadam Foundation, has organized an exhibition of his father's works. This program will be displayed in 22 galleries across Tehran and other cities for six months, until November 2024.
In this interview, Hamon Vaziri Moghadam emphasizes the importance of art foundations and their role in society. He explains that it was this belief that led the Foundation to organize the event in collaboration with galleries in various cities, in order to fulfill Mohsen’s lifelong dream of making art accessible to the public. This conversation is about the exhibition "Mohsen Vaziri Moghadam > Centenary" and the programs of the Vaziri Moghadam Foundation.
