A report of the 7th Tehran National Auction

The hot summer of Iran's art market began with the seventh round of the national auction. The national auction hosted 40 works of art from 27 artists in its 7th edition, on July 1 and 2, 1401. The collection of classical Iranian and Islamic art included a range of miniatures, paintings, handicrafts, manuscripts, calligraphy pieces, textiles, carpets and rugs, and prominent names such as Sadegh Al-Wad, Mirza Agha Emami, Nasrullah Qajar, Hadi were among the artists. There is an error between al-Hosseini and Hossein. These works were publicly exhibited in the first two days of July, and on the third day of July, they were exposed to the competition of buyers. Finally, among these, 29 works (72% of the present works) were sold and brought a total of 42424000000 Tomans ($1277831) for the auction. The three mediums of handicrafts, painting and calligraphy, were the most popular with buyers and had the highest sales respectively. The most expensive work of this collection was a pencil case and envelope by an artist of Laadree, which was sold for $286,159. Also, a total of 13 works in the range of 0 to 10 thousand dollars and 10 works in the range of 10 to 50 thousand dollars were hammered.
