Albert Vartanian was born in 1926 in Tbilisi. He has worked with different media such as oil paint, gouache, and watercolor and has many artworks. His works are in private collections in Iran and abroad.
Vartanian stayed in Russia for a while with his friend and colleague, Minasian, and studied painting there.
After returning to Iran, he collaborated with Mohsen Soheili, who was one of the best students of Kamal ol-Molk, at Mani Gallery in Tehran, and soon after, he established his own gallery on Manoochehri Street in Tehran.
In addition to creating works, he also taught students in the gallery, and artists such as Mohammad Reza Golzari and Alek Kazarian were among his students.
