Atash Shahkarami was born in Khorramabad in 1980. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions. Among her most important solo exhibitions, "Bones" at Vista Gallery and the solo show "Me in Darkness, Darkness in Me" at Guye Gallery.
About the "Bones" show, Atash Shahkarami says that after her trip to Khorramabad and seeing the nature of that area, her view of stones has changed: "I felt that these stones are living creatures and even look like bones. Zagros is an old mountain whose rocks are washed and soft. When I touched them, I felt that these stones were the bones of the earth that protruded from the soil."
In the "Bones" collection, there is an expressive expression that is accompanied by a bright and warm color palette; Curved, organic and intricate forms also increase the dynamics of the space. Atash adds: "There are sufferings that are deeply radiant and brilliant, and the collection of 'Bones' is living one of those sufferings that not only focused on the painful and dark side of pain, but also contained the monstrous growth of my still undeveloped powers." I stared in amazement at this peeling and saw myself now distanced from the former suffering me. It was me who was invincible and insurmountable with any pain, I could make something out of any pain and pleasure and get through it."
