Bahram Dabiri, a modernist painter, was born in Shiraz. We know Dabiri through his abstract and poetic paintings and drawings, which he draws from mythological human and animal motifs. He completed his bachelor's degree in painting from 1970 to 1974 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran. In 1968, he exhibited his works for the first time in Sepid Gallery in Tehran. In 1975, he had two more solo exhibitions at the Seyhoun Gallery and the Goethe Institute in Tehran. In 1974, he participated in a joint exhibition with Hannibal Alkhas in Tehran's Naqsh Gallery. About two decades later, a collaborative show of this artist's works was held in the Abi Gallery of Babol. Dabiri has always been an active artist and has exhibited his works many times individually and in groups in the galleries of Iran, Spain, Canada, and other countries. In 1999, his works were displayed in "Total Arts in the Courtyard" in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. A year later, his works participated in Art Expo New York.
In some of his artistic experiences, such as drawing for felting, reverse glass painting, etc., or presenting his works and displaying them in coffee houses, hotels, and bookstores, he has tried to spread the idea of spreading art among people. Dabiri started painting with a narrative and symbolic approach. The painting of birds created in 1973 is an excellent example of this period of the artist's work. He depicted political and social themes in multi-layered screens in the first years after the revolution, such as the "Defense" panel. After that, he spent a period experimenting with different styles of modern painting, especially the works of Picasso, and studying Iranian mythology and symbolic motifs. In these searches, he found his personal means and subject of expression. The ethereal female face appeared in concise compositions with fluid lines and soft colors and became a characteristic sign of Dabeiri's paintings. Some critics divide the works of this artist into three general categories. The first period, the artworks created between 1971 and 1978, mainly during his student days. During this period, Dabiri tended to calligraphy and calligraphy and used bright and strong colors in his works. The second period started in 1979, and his painting style changes were revealed. And the third period, which includes the still lifes of Bahram Dabiri. He has also had scattered experiences in volume processing and working with metal.
