Bozorgmehr Hosseinpoor, born in 1976, is a cartoonist and animation director. He studied painting at Tehran Azad University. Since 1990, he has been active as a cartoonist and caricaturist in various publications across Iran, including Gol Agha, Keyhan Cartoon, Zan Newspaper, Soroush Nowjavan, Roshd Nowjavan, Norooz Newspaper, Aftabgardan Newspaper, Eqbal Newspaper, and Chelcheragh Weekly.
Hosseinpoor is widely recognized as one of Iran's prominent contemporary cartoonists. He gained considerable attention for his series titled "Qajar Women" and "Qajar Harem," exhibited at Silk Road Gallery and Galerie Nicolas Flamel in Tehran and Paris, respectively, focusing on critiquing the Qajar era. Regarding this series, Bozorgmehr Hosseinpour remarks, "If I were to give a brief explanation of the paintings in this exhibition, I would say: When I quietly entered Naser al-Din Shah's harem...".
In 1996, Bozorgmehr Hosseinpoor won the Urban Press Exhibition Award. Over subsequent years, he received numerous awards, including third prize at the International Cartoon Dialogue of Civilizations Exhibition in 2003, Best Short Animation Film at the Urban Satire Exhibition in 2006, first prize in the Portrait section of Tehran International Cartoon Biennial in 2007, and the Iranian Cartoonists' Gold Medal in the same year.
His first solo exhibition of works was held in 2013 at Silk Road Gallery, followed by seven other solo exhibitions showcasing his art.
