Ketayoun Moghaddam was born in 1967 in Tehran. She is a painter, sculptor and ceramist. Moghaddam received her bachelor's degree from Al-Zahra University in the field of traditional arts. She also received her MA in Visual Arts from UM University of Malaysia.
Ketayun Moghaddam has participated in many exhibitions and art fairs. Among the most important ones, we can mention Art Fair in Zurich and exhibitions in countries such as Malaysia, Romania and Russia. She is also the winner of an art scholarship from the International Center for the Arts of Cité Paris, from the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Tehran, and has a teaching experience at Tehran University of Arts and Al-Zahra University.
Ketayun Moghaddam's works are semi-abstract. In most of these works, the overall atmosphere is abstract, but flower-like forms can be seen in some parts of the painting. Some of these works are executed with the technique of combining materials; Shells, feathers, plastic, pieces of fabric and pebbles are some of the materials that Moghadam used in his works. The color palette of Ketayoun Moghaddam's works is often dark, and the flowers are in lighter colors in contrast with the background.
