Leila Vismeh, a painter, was born in 1979 in Arak. After completing high school, she entered the University of Art in Iran (formerly Tehran) and began her professional artistic career after receiving a Bachelor's degree in painting. In addition to painting, Vismeh is active in sculpture creation and education. She won the Golden Statue Award at the International Puppet Theater Festival in 2009 for her work in the mask and face section.
Vismeh's first solo painting exhibition was held in 2010. Following this experience, her works have been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Tehran, Dubai, Rome, Paris (Grand Palais), Berlin, and Malaysia.
The subject of Vismeh's paintings revolves around humanity. With an expressive and design-oriented approach, she protects form while engaging the viewer in a dynamic experience. Her goal is to capture moments that, despite the challenges and despair people face, guide them to continue their journey.
Vismeh also takes a figurative approach to still life, creating realistic visual representations that carry hidden metaphorical meanings. Alongside exhibiting her paintings, she often creates installations and spatial arrangements, fostering a dialogue between the arranged objects and the paintings.
