Leili Derakhshani was born in 1340 in Sangsar Semnan. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in the field of sculpture. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and countries such as Germany, Italy, United Arab Emirates and Canada. Leili Derakhshani has collaborated with Azad Art Gallery, Mah, Afarand and Sahar K.Boluki gallery in Toronto.
Leili Derakhshani was present at the "Blue Fams" exhibition at the Pro Art Gallery in Dubai, and her works were displayed alongside famous artists such as Banksy, Lalla Essaydi, and Damien Hirst. Rosita Sharafjahan says about the works of Leila Derakhshani under the pretext of the Blue Fams exhibition: "The color blue is seen in the East and Middle East region more than any other part of the world, and it has a special attraction in the architecture of this region. On the other hand, the color blue has been more prominent than any other color, and accordingly this title was chosen for the exhibition, and the works that have been exhibited by Leili Derakhshani are also based on this, and the blue color has been more prominent in her paintings. Bright paintings are made on canvas with acrylic paint technique. In addition to paintings, photography and hand-printed works were also displayed in this exhibition, and it is written in the brochure: This exhibition celebrates the color blue. Blue is an infinitely bright and radiant color. A reminder of calmness and honesty, which is associated with intimacy, balance and trust."
