Marzieh Mirjafari, Iranian painter, was born in Kashan in 1988. She received her master's degree in housing architecture from the University of Science and Technology in 2017 and held her first group exhibition in Kashan in the same year.
Mirjafari has started her activities in the field of painting from 2003. First solo exhibition of the artist goes back to 2019 in Safavid Gallery, Isfahan. After that, she held some exhibitions in Tehran and Isfahan.
During her career in art, Marzieh Mirjafari has also participated in art fairs and expos in Milan, San Diego, and New York. In 2005, she was granted the first place in the One Day Without Water competition in Isfahan.
In a review of Mirjafari's exhibition, Hossein Ganji wrote about the artist’s works: "Mirjafari, with the help of using various colors, seems to bring the future to today. The future of today's man, towards which he is moving, loneliness and reference to the past is more deep and diverse. The eyes in these works either have smoky glasses, or they are closed, or in any visible and imaginable way, they are not created for seeing. The space in Mirjafari's works has conquered us and it doesn’t allow us to achieve dialogue and association. She is the narrator of the environment in which the helpless man is still trapped between Iranian tradition and modernity. Its colors are the same, the typology of its people, the form and architecture of its living space are the same, its opinions and desires are the same, living is as if it is death and nothingness.”
