Nastaran Safaei, born in 1984 in Tehran, is a distinguished Iranian sculptor and graphic artist. After completing her secondary education in graphic design, she earned an associate degree in the same field from Sooreh University in 2004. Throughout her academic journey, she developed skills in calligraphy, pottery, and sculpture, and in 2005, she held her debut calligraphy exhibition at the Iranian Artists' Forum.
Since 2006, Safaei has been an active member of the Iranian Sculptors' Association. That same year, after obtaining a certificate in reverse sculpture from Mah-e Mehr Art Institute, under the tutelage of renowned sculptor Parviz Tanavoli, she committed herself to professional sculpting. Her participation in Tanavoli's classes led to a group exhibition, titled "Reverse," at Assar Gallery in 2006. Safaei's first solo exhibition in sculpture followed in 2009, also at Assar Gallery.
With a career spanning over 120 solo and group exhibitions, Safaei has firmly established her presence both in Iran and internationally, participating in major biennials and prestigious global art fairs.
