Nehapet Nehapetian, Yervand Nahaptian's brother, was born in 1921 in Jolfa, Isfahan. He studied at Isfahan English College. He also participated in the excavations of Persepolis from 1938 to 1940. He used to paint from the objects discovered there.
Nahapet Nahaptian was an Armenian immigrant in Iran. His works belong to Isfahan watercolor school. This school is also called New Jolfa. He had a great impact on the introduction and spread of the European painting style in Iran. He has different collections with different subjects like Iranian Baazaar, portraits, nomads, and natural landscapes.
He died in America in 1993, and in 2018, an exhibition of his works was held at Naghsh e Jahan Gallery, Niavaran, Tehran.
