Oriya Mahmoodi was born in 1990 in Sari. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the University of Gilan and a Master's degree in Photography from the University of Art in Tehran.

Her first solo exhibition, titled "We, Beloved," was held in 2015 at Gallery 26 in Tehran. She then held another exhibition titled "Inside" in 2021 at Vali Gallery.

Oriya Mahmoodi’s artistic style is shaped by unique techniques such as stitching, thread, glitter, and collage. Her work mainly focuses on exploring female identity and the role of women in society, redefining feminine concepts through her art.
