Pooya Aryanpour, a contemporary Iranian painter and sculptor, commenced his artistic education at the Tehran Academy of Fine Arts. Subsequently, he pursued further studies at the Islamic Azad University, where he obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in painting between 1993 and 1999. Since 2001, he has been actively engaged in teaching at the same university. Aryanpour first showcased his artworks in 1994 at the Barg Gallery in Tehran. He expanded his reach internationally by participating in the Bangladesh Asian Art Biennale in 1998. The following year saw his paintings exhibited in various locations including Los Angeles, Florida, New York, alongside the showcase titled "Breeze from the Persian Garden."
Pakbaz has eloquently described the distinctive features of Aryanpour's artistic creations: "Aryanpour consistently strikes a harmonious balance between deliberate and spontaneous elements within his abstract or semi-abstract paintings. His sequence of triptych acrylic compositions on paper showcases smooth lines and diverse textures set against flat colored backgrounds, with interconnecting panels structured by geometric precision." Pakbaz further notes that "The uninhibited spontaneity and succinctness evident in Aryanpour's recent works evoke echoes of the venerable Far Eastern art tradition."
