Capitolium Brescia holds a three-day auction for modern and contemporary art from 27 to 29 July 2022. Two works by Abbas Gharib, the well-known Iranian photographer, are featured on the auction’s second day (28 July). There are no preview days for this auction and lots can be visited only by appointment.
Capitolium, founded in 1988, is an auction house in Brescia, Italy, and has offices in Turin and Rome. It holds auctions in different categories such as old masters and 19th century art, modern and contemporary art, design and 20th century decorative art, vintage luxuries and collectibles, Islamic and oriental art, and jewelry.
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, René Magritte, Fernand Léger, Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Salvador Dali, André Masson, Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, and Wassily Kandinsky are some of the well-known artists whose works are featured in this auction.
