No. 18 Shahin (Khedri) St., Sanaee St.
1 May 2020 - 18 May 2020
Emami started working on this collection in early 2018, influenced by his immediate surrounding in which the occurrence of new incidents is basically inevitable.
Similar to his previous series, contradiction plays an important role in these works. In the former works, it was the contrast depicted by light and shadow and here it’s the juxtaposition of soft and rigid forms next to one another.
Fog, a recurring element, creates a placeless and timeless space, which at the same time is representative of the artist’s understanding and reaction to what is happening in reality. In fact, these works illustrate a sense of temporal metamorphosis: are we about to enter a void of nothingness or are we about to leave it?
