Asal Peirovi was born in 1985 in Sari. After completing her undergraduate studies, she entered the University of Arts to study for a master's degree in painting.
She held the first solo exhibition of her works in Shirin Gallery in 2014 with the title "Pol-e Shahla". So far, Peirovi has held six solo shows of her works. Earlier, in 2007, she entered the field of painting professionally by participating in the group exhibitions "Paintings from Mazandaran" at the Saba Cultural Center and "The Second Selected New Generation" at Homa Gallery. Peirovi also exhibited the two collections "Travel" and "Curtains" in Dastan Gallery in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and in March 2018, the "Curtains 2" collection was exhibited at the Standard Gallery in Oslo.
Peirovi held a show in March 2018 at the Standard Gallery in New York and participated in Art Basel Art Fair at the request of the same gallery. This artist has participated in several other domestic and foreign art fairs as well. She has won the third place in the Young Artists festival.
In her works, Peirovi first chose her aunt as the main subject, and then she paid attention to the elements of nature and expressed them in her works. Asal Peirovi lived in Sari, but came to Tehran during her studies and was constantly commuting, as a result, Versak bridge was always in front of her eyes on the road, and for this reason, it is used as an important symbol in one of her collections.
In the first viewing of "Shahla Bridge", the artist combined the memories of "Shahla". In the "Safarnameh" collection, however, space, place, transient and unstable spirit of nature and unknown buildings along roads and crossings, especially Varsk, which was near Shahla's place of residence, appeared as the idea of the works. In her recent collection, "the strange death of Shahla and the horrible shadow of this sealed secret of from behind the curtain of daily life" influenced Peirovi and she created "Curtains" with an aesthetic look at life and death, man and nature. "Curtains" collection was formed with various materials such as raw fabrics and mixed media. "Curtains" is her newest collection of paintings, in which artworks were combined with what was left by Shahla and resulted in different visual and non-visual meanings and concepts.
