Abolfazl Harouni was born in 1998 in Tehran. He studied graphic design in high school and received a bachelor's degree in painting from Tehran University. While studying painting at the university, he became interested in geometric forms and flat surfaces in architecture and gradually moved towards using these elements and external spaces in painting.
The "Room Overlooking the Hall" collection is the first solo exhibition and Harouni's first collaboration with the Inja Art Gallery, mostly executed with colored pencil and gold leaf techniques on cardboard. He is one of the winners of the 7th "Damon Far Painting Biennial" in 2018, and also participating in four group exhibitions is one of his other activities.
Harouni first searched for the value of architecture in forms and colors, but continued to emphasize the image of Iranian identity. Harouni now advances painting with surface, color and image.
