Ahmad Nadalian, born in 1963 in Sangsar, Iran, is an artist whose practice spans environmental art, installation, and multimedia. He began his artistic journey in his teenage years before pursuing a degree in painting at the University of Tehran, graduating in 1988. He later completed his postgraduate and doctoral studies in France and the United Kingdom, specializing in art history and philosophy of art.
Drawing on mythology, zodiacal symbols, and mystical themes, Nadalian creates installations, carvings, and performances that reflect the intersection of tradition and modern technology, as well as meditations on the relationship between humanity, nature, and time. His works have been exhibited in more than seventy countries worldwide, and he has also participated as an environmental artist in the 50th Venice Biennale.
