Ali Zakeri received his diploma from Tehran Academy of Fine Arts (1981) and completed a bachelor's degree in painting at Tehran College of Fine Arts (1984-1990) and a master's degree at Tarbiat Modares University (1996-1999). He held his first solo exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran (1984) and since then his paintings and designs have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Iran and other countries. He has participated in the biennials of Iranian graphic designers, Iranian contemporary painting and Islamic world contemporary painting and has received awards. Zakeri has been teaching drawing and painting in universities and educational centres since the early 1990's.
