Amir Ghareh Hassanlou, a contemporary Iranian painter, was born in 1983 in Karaj, Iran. From an early age, he showed a keen interest in painting and later pursued his studies in the field at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in painting.
He held his first solo exhibition in 2007 at Artemis Gallery, Tehran. This was followed by several exhibitions across various art spaces in Tehran, including Dey Gallery, Ivan Sepid, and others. His solo shows between 2007 and 2011 established his artistic presence and drew the attention of critics and enthusiasts of contemporary art.
In addition to his individual practice, Ghareh Hassanlou has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Among the most notable are the 7th Exhibition of Contemporary Iranian Drawing (2003), the Drawing of the Second Generation exhibition at Barg Gallery (2004), the First Annual Drawing Exhibition in Karaj (2005), and the 4th International Biennial of Contemporary Painting of the Islamic World (2006).
Through a combination of personal vision and diverse painterly techniques, Amir Ghareh Hassanlou creates works that reflect contemporary concerns.
