Printmaking techniques play a crucial role in shaping the identity of this artist's works. The main themes of his works are a combination of organic and mechanical parts. A compatible and opposite variety of two patterns of knowledge and life intertwines and appears in symmetrical and geometric shapes. Some of the favorite organic motifs of Kamgooyan are human organs, plants, and crows. Mechanical elements also include elements such as motors, fins, and belts. These elements accumulate in the factory board, where critical sub-narratives are going on in its corners. In some cases, the geometrical structure of his works clearly indicates the tradition of Iranian painting. In some of his collections, he engraves these designs directly on metal surfaces such as stainless steel.
