The theme of Azin Zolfaghari's recent works is the cement facade of urban buildings; But this theme is not implemented by realistic representation but by surreal and perhaps symbolic representation on the canvas. With focusing on the way buildings are represented in these works, traces of Iranian painting can be observed. About the audience's encounter with these works, Zolfaghari writes in the statement of the "Dochar" exhibition at Mohsen Gallery: "Dochar is more than an affliction, it is a product of a collision, a combination and intersection of two impossible and heterogeneous phenomena. The friction of two uneven and difficult levels and more than that is the result of encountering oneself with the other, the result of which is already clear: suffering from self-destruction! Which is inevitably a door to non-existence, to decay and non-existence. This collection is an attempt to create this encounter and intersection, in fact, an attempt to make possible an intersection between the audience and the work, a sealed rule, and finally suffering from what the work and the owner of the work are suffering from."
