Farzaneh Hosseini is a sculptor born in 1984 in Tehran. He studied painting at Al-Zahra University and then studied sculpture for four years under the supervision of Parviz Tanavoli and was his assistant.
The first professional activities of Farzaneh Hosseini were the creation of her bird sculptures, which was the result of her collaboration with Parviz Tanavoli. The first solo exhibition of Hosseini's works was held in "Mirmiran" gallery in 2006, and so far, she has had five solo shows in her career and has participated in more than 40 group exhibitions. Farzaneh Hosseini is a member of the Iranian Sculptors Association and the Taylor Foundation in France.
Her works are mostly based on social themes, gender discrimination and environmental issues, which are created through the lens of her art in an innovative form and close to the audience. Farzaneh Hosseini has mostly shown elements such as batons, knives, locks, screws and other similar tools as a symbol of violence in society. Another part of her works has gone forward by criticizing the media and interacting with the audience. In one of her famous works titled "Magic Box", she created sweets with images of logos of various networks as a symbol of the information bombardment of the audience to criticize the general approach of today's media. This piece was displayed in "Gallery 36".
