Mirmohammad Fatahi, a contemporary painter and artist, was born in 1987 in Karaj, Iran. He began his artistic journey during his teenage years and, in 2001, enrolled at the Art School of Fine Arts. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in painting from Soore University.
Fatahi’s first exhibition experience took place in 2013 as part of a group show at Etemad Gallery in Tehran. That same year, he held his first solo presentation, titled “Parking”, at the Iran Cartoon House.
In 2015, he was named a finalist in the prestigious Golden Turtle Award (Russia) in the animal portrait category, and his works were subsequently exhibited in Moscow. Throughout his career, Fatahi has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and festivals.
The themes of Mirmohammad Fatahi’s work often revolve around the concept of death and the human relationship with the world and objects. His philosophical approach imbues his paintings with layers of existential and ontological inquiry.
