Mo'in-e Mosavver was an Iranian painter and illuminator born in 1616 and passed away in 1697. He lived and worked in Isfahan, following the realist tradition established by Kamal al-Din Behzad. A student of Reza Abbasi, he was active in various artistic fields, including illustration, manuscript illumination, pen box decoration, and mural painting.
Mo'in-e Mosavver is recognized as one of the first Iranian artists to precisely document the date and details of his works. Renowned for his skill in representation, he depicted battle scenes, courtly gatherings, portraits, and animal figures. He is also regarded as one of the last painters who resisted the influence of European artistic styles in Persian painting.
