Mostafa Sarabi's works have a symbolic and primitive approach, his paintings are influenced by his personal and family life. The subject of his artworks are personal narratives of his own life or human issues. His works are composed of symbols and symbols that are repeated over and over again, the white horse is the symbol of the "painter himself", the lion is the "father", the black horse is the "mother" and the red trees are "people who were once in his life and are not now".
From a technical point of view, Sarabi uses acrylic on canvas or wood in most of his artworks and often chooses raw, bright and sharp colors, which are direct choices from nature and traditional carpets. Also, most of the figures in his works are simple and motionless, which was inspired by the indifference of the local people of his hometown.
