Nader Davoodi, photographer, journalist and documentary filmmaker, was born in 1962. His father was an Iranian diplomat in Afghanistan, so he was born in Herat. Davoodi is graduated from archeology at Tehran University and communication sciences at Allameh Tabatabai University. He says about his interest in photography: "When I was 15-16 years old, I picked up a professional camera for the first time and became interested in it. This interest persuaded my father to buy me a camera."

Davoodi's familiarity with art happened at the age of 30 after his trip to New York; Since then, he has been photographing with an artistic vision. The main activity of Nader Davoodi is photography and making documentary films. Among his most famous films, we can mention "Aref Be Tavan e Do" and "Red, White and Green", a documentary about the 2018 presidential elections in Iran. Nader Davoodi's photography works have been displayed in numerous group and solo exhibitions inside and outside of Iran; Among these, countries such as France, England, China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates can be mentioned. He has also collaborated with galleries such as Seyhoun, Golestan, Barg and e 1 Art Gallery. Nader Davoodi is the winner of the gold medal in three editions of the Asahi Shimbun international photography competition in Japan.
