Nasser Arasteh, born in 1942, studied at the School of Fine Arts in Tehran from 1961 to 1965 before completing a Bachelor's degree in Painting at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts (1966–1971). Between 1968 and 1971, he worked in the set design department of the National Iranian Radio and Television Organization.
Arasteh has showcased his paintings in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Iran and internationally. In addition to his work as a painter, he illustrated a children's adaptation of the Kalīla wa-Dimna stories in 1980.
