Nazgol Ansarinia, a conceptual artist active in the field of sculpture, installation and video art, was born in 1979 in Tehran. Her works show urban representations, architectural elements, nature and history to open a way to preserve the national identity and society.
Nazgol Ansarinia graduated from Chelsea School of Art and Design, University of London. After studying graphic design at the London College of Communication, she received a merit scholarship from the California School of Art and studied up to a master's degree in fine arts.
The first solo show of Nazgol Ansarinia titled "Untitled (Do Not Give Your Opinion)" was held at 13 Vanak Street Gallery. Her works have been shown in more than 11 solo shows and more than 20 domestic and foreign group shows. Nazgol Ansarinia won the N. K. D. prize for Norway residency and the Dubai Skyscraper Center Art Award in late 2000's and later participated in the 10th and 12th Istanbul Biennials.
