Nazgol Ansarinia is a conceptual artist working in sculpture, installation, and video art. She was born in 1979 in Tehran. Her works explore urban representations, architectural elements, nature, and history as ways to engage with national identity and collective memory.
Ansarinia received a diploma from Chelsea College of Art and Design at the University of London. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the London College of Communication, and was awarded a Merit Scholarship to attend the California College of the Arts, where she completed her Master of Fine Arts degree.
Her first solo exhibition, titled "Untitled (Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell)," was held at Gallery No. 13 on Vanak Street in Tehran. Since then, her work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Iran and internationally. Over the course of her career, Ansarinia has been awarded the NKD Residency Prize in Norway and the The Abraaj Art Prize.
