Niloofar Ghadrinejad is known for the political and social paintings and murals she painted amid the 1979 revolution. In this respect, Ghaderinejad is one of the most prominent female artists in the history of Iranian art. This painter was born in 1957 in Tehran. Ghaderinejad spent high school at Behzad Conservatory, then in 1975, she went to Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts to study painting. Her study period coincided with the tumultuous years of the 1957 revolution. Ghaderinejad was Hannibal Khas's student at the university and was inclined towards revolutionary art like some of his students. This period's results are several wall paintings, several large paintings on canvas, and several designs associated with the fighting movements and political issues of the time, which were inspired by the murals and revolutionary art of Mexico. She finally completed her studies before the beginning of the cultural revolution in 1980 and received her bachelor's degree from this faculty.
Ghaderinejad continued painting after the revolution and exhibited her works for the first time at the Council of Writers and Artists' place. In 1990, she held her second solo exhibition in the Kargahe-e-Honar gallery, and after that, she exhibited her works privately in her personal studio for a long time. After having a solo exhibition at Afrand Gallery in 1998, this artist collaborated with Elaheh Gallery for a decade and held several solo exhibitions at this gallery. In addition, she has participated several times in the Tehran painting biennial, the International Women's Day exhibition, and the Haft Negah exhibition. The late works of this artist are dedicated to mythological subjects from the Shahnameh. Images of these events, such as Siavash passing through the fire, Siavashan tree, Rostamzad, etc., are depicted in an epic and expressive tone. Ghaderinejad has also been continuously active in teaching painting. Azad University Faculty of Art and Architecture, Mah-e-Mehr Institute, etc., are among the most renowned institutions where Ghaderinejad taught painting and architecture. Among her other experiences, we can mention book illustrations. So far, several works of this artist have been presented and sold in the Tehran auction.
