Omid Omidvari, born in Shiraz in 1982, holds a BA in Photography from the University of Art in Isfahan and an MA in Photography from the University of Tehran. He began his professional career in 2008 at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in Shiraz and works across photography as an artist, educator, and researcher.
In Omidvari’s work, the photograph is not merely a means of documenting or representing reality; it becomes an object of inquiry in its own right. By questioning what a photograph is and how it is viewed, he explores the relationship between image, reality, and perception, examining the ways in which photography can shape experience and produce meaning.
