Reza Hosseini was born in Ahvaz in 1948. He is graduated from Atlanta College of Art in Georgia, USA. Reza Hosseini has held numerous group and solo exhibitions inside and outside of Iran. He has also collaborated with galleries such as Aria, Elahe and Artibition.
Reza Hosseini's recent works are abstract, but before that, the history of figurative painting can also be seen in this artist's career. Reza Hosseini says about this: "I felt like I was going to the figure when I was stuck and I didn't know what to do; The figure always saved me in this situation. Now I could paint you, then start to deform and an abstraction will come out of it." Reza Hosseini, after passing through the figurative period, turned to nature painting and tried to shape nature in his representation. What can be seen in the later works of Reza Hosseini is influenced by the same nature paintings and deformation.
Reza Hosseini says about this works: If you see my works, it is actually nature that has been worked with volume and movement and takes the audience to spaces as if they were formed in nature. For example, in one of the works, it is as if nature is attacking and coming forward. In these works, it is as if good and evil, or peace, chaos and paradox, have reached peace together at some point.
