Reza Rasooli (b. 1974) is a Tehran-based visual artist. He began his artistic practice with photography and, in recent years, has expanded his practice to include video alongside photography. Working primarily with visual media, his practice explores and extends the possibilities of contemporary artistic expression.
Rasooli’s artistic approach lies at the intersection of engineering and art, where order, measurement, and certainty come into tension with ambiguity, intuition, and the unresolved. In his work, line, sound, language, light, and space become means of exploring the boundaries between logic and intuition. Rather than offering definitive answers, these elements create conditions for encountering questions and engaging with open-ended experiences.
