Sepideh Noori, born in 1981 in Tehran, has become an established figure in the art scene through her insightful explorations of humanity and interpersonal relationships. Her artistic journey began with a group exhibition at Mah-e Mehr Gallery, and her body of work grew to include solo exhibitions, notably at Etemad Gallery in 2016, 2017, and 2020.
Noori’s work consistently delves into the dynamics of human interactions and conflicts. She describes the thematic progression of her three solo exhibitions with clarity: "My first collection was focused on the course of a war between two ideologies and two countries, depicting war in its broadest sense. In my subsequent exhibition, I narrowed the focus from global conflicts to the personal, exploring the inherent struggles and conflicts between two individuals. This theme examined the ubiquitous nature of conflict regardless of one’s social standing or position. In my latest collection, I have zoomed in further to examine the individual, specifically the decisions one makes about another person."
Through her art, Noori invites viewers to reflect on the universal and personal aspects of conflict and the profound impact of our choices on human relationships.
