Shahla Armin was born in 1959 in Tehran. She went to Paris in 1977 and participated in the open classes of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Paris (École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts). Armin also attended municipal drawing classes during her stay in Paris.
After returning to Iran, Shahla Armin tried to create her own unique style; She finally reached her own visual language in 1997 inspired by Iranian painting. She is also inspired by Khamsa of Nizami for the content of her works. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has collaborated with Asr, Elaha, Aria and Barg galleries.
In addition to participating in the exhibition, Shahla Armin has participated in many art workshops and courses, among which she received a two-month study scholarship from the Cité International Center in Paris and participated in the workshop of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
