Solmaz Vilkachi (born Tehran, 1982) is an Iranian sculptor who has been living and working in Rome since 2009. She holds an MFA in Environmental Sculpture (2016) and a BFA in Sculpture (2013) from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. In addition to her studies in sculpture, she has also earned degrees in Graphic Design and Economics.
Solmaz's works have been showcased in both solo and group exhibitions at renowned galleries and museums in Rome, including Arte Borgo Gallery, La Nube di Oort Gallery, and the Macro-Museum of Contemporary Art. Her international presence extends to exhibitions in Spain, such as Infinity Art at Sala Prada de Madrid and Oltre i Libri at Angelica Gallery in Rome.
Her permanent sculptures can be found in various cities across Italy, including Tuscany, Calabria, and Rome. Throughout her career, Solmaz has received several prestigious awards, including the Talent Award from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (2016) and the Oltre i Libri International Contest (2015).
In addition to her exhibition work, Solmaz has participated in numerous artist residencies and collaborated with well-known artists such as Nezaket Ekici. She has also worked with institutions like the Rome Academy of Fine Arts and Romostudio, contributing to projects such as stop-motion animation for Kinder Pinguì advertisements.
