Tahereh Samadi Tari, a contemporary Iranian painter, began her artistic education at the School of Visual Arts under the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Tehran. She later pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Painting at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, followed by a Master’s degree in the same field at Tehran University of Art. Her works were first shown in a group exhibition titled "Baztab-eh Naghsh" at Laleh Gallery, Tehran.
Samadi Tari’s first solo exhibition was held in 2007 at Dey Art Gallery, Tehran. Since then, her works have been presented in art fairs and exhibitions across countries such as the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Alongside her artistic practice, she is also active in teaching at the university level.
Her paintings are distinguished by a sense of dynamism and movement. While often rooted in classical perspective, she disrupts its order in parts of the composition to create dreamlike and paradoxical spaces—where figures appear suspended in midair or floods surge through enclosed urban settings. Vivid, luminous colors, reflections of light on metallic and glassy surfaces, and abstracted human forms—stripped of hands, feet, or heads—transform into ghostly silhouettes racing across the canvas. Recurring motifs such as broken umbrellas and bubbles further define the distinct visual language of her work.
