Azad Art Gallery

Tehran | Iran
Azad Art Gallery was established in Tehran in 1998 by its directors, Rosita Sharafjahan and Mohsen Nabizad. The decision to open the gallery stemmed from the limitations in exhibition and experimental spaces at the time. Right from its inception, the gallery adopted an inclusive approach by incorporating diverse trends into its management practices.

However, starting from 2022, there was a notable shift in the art management methods of Azad Gallery. It transformed into a space dedicated to art practice and creation, essentially becoming an art workshop. As a result, the traditional and commercial display methods were set aside in favor of fostering a more hands-on, creative environment.
