Dastan's Basement was established in 2012 by Hormoz Hematian to display the works of young Iranian artists and since then focused on the emerging artists of the Iranian art scene. Dastan's basement is one of the oldest sections of Dastan's collection: Dastan +2 and Dastan's projects are among the other sections that were subsequently created during the gallery's active years; Dastan +2 focuses on established Iranian artists, and Dastan projects operates in non-traditional spaces, outside the white cube to exhibit contemporary Iranian artists. In addition to publishing books about famous artists, Dastan Gallery also has an active presence in the world's most important art fairs. Dastan +2 is currently located in Deh-e Vanak and Fereshteh st.
