Ahmed Vakili, painter, designer, illustrator, engraver, and art teacher, was born in Tehran. He completed his bachelor's degree in painting between 1984 and 1988 at the Art University Complex (Decorative Arts College) and his master's degree in the same field later in 1997 from Islamic Azad University. Vakili exhibited his drawings and paintings for the first time in Mashhad's Se Rang Gallery in 1986. He was also a member of the +30 group, and his works were present in this group's domestic and international exhibitions. In addition, he has been an active artist as an illustrator and has created numerous illustrated books for children. These works have brought him awards in international events.

At first, Vakili was a realist painter (mainly portraits and landscapes). In the middle of the 1990s, he turned to mental and expressive imagery with mythological themes. In this approach, he tries to express the concerns of today's people. In the last period of his career, he returned to landscape painting using oil paints. Vakili has been developing landscape painting since the 1980s in private schools and in the 1990s in Tehran and Zahedan art colleges As a painting teacher. 

Karim Nasr writes about Ahmad Vakili's view of painting and design and his influence on Iran's visual arts as a trendsetting teacher: "When he talks about "paint" or "design" in painting, his opinions are based on deep and long experience, and this is very important. Because he speaks in the language of images - when you can become philosophical by reading a few books and giving up painting and drawing. When he sees your artwork, he talks about the style of design and the depth of color; the role and effect of "line" in expressing feelings and concepts, and the effect of color in revealing the essence of things and the artistic understanding of what they are. Have you seen many people who talk about its visual elements in front of your work? I have seen at most five people, and Ahmad Vakili is one of them. Such a character cannot be a negligible person. Of course, Ahmad Vakili does not just speak. He also promotes its design and features. Tens and hundreds of his students spread his vision all over Iran, And tens and hundreds of people also challenged his idea and went their own way. But this does not reduce the importance of Vakili; Because all those who have gone their own way are standing on his shoulders. a person on whose shoulders many people stand cannot be an unimportant person. Of course, he doesn't just promote. Stimulation is also one of his indispensable duties. He can equip any static visual environment with a dynamic space and any friends' club with criticism power.
