Ahmad Vakili is a painter/drawer who has pictured mythical figures
in symbolic contexts. Yet, nature and the relativity of the painter with it seems to be his
major concern over time. During the past two years, he has been trying to create a mutual connection with nature. Respectively, through practice and study of the very concept in his paintings, he has reached a combination of humane figures and elements of nature which represents an abstract-expressive visual atmosphere before the eyes of the audience. That is why telling a tree or a mountain from a human might be difficult in his paintings. As if nature itself is not merely an object and that the mythical figuration overcomes nature, his paintings are a reflection of his mind. We, therefore, are not about to confront the representation of nature as it is. Nonetheless, a tendency towards stylization, emotional and instant expressionism seems to be quite clear in his works; the lights and shadows, colors and forms and touches are all applied through the artist's emotions who paints the impressions of his mind.
