Artist Alireza Dayani was born in Tehran in 1982. Before venturing into the art world, he pursued studies in psychology at Tehran Azad University. Dayani describes his surrealist art as a manifestation of his worldview: "I see the world as completely unreal. I hope that by creating my works, I can change people's view to a more open one." His artworks typically showcase a monochromatic palette, accentuated by swirling lines in black and white. They often feature underwater creatures, providing the audience with impressions of the ocean floor or coral reefs. Dayani's works exert a psychological impact on viewers.
Dayani held his inaugural solo exhibition at Golestan Gallery, Tehran in 2004, followed by individual showcases at Dey and Mah Art Galleries. His creations have also been part of group exhibitions in both Iran and America. In 2011, Alireza Dayani earned recognition as a finalist for the Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Award.
