Amin Noorani was born in Tehran. He is a painting student from the Tehran Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University. Noorani is considered a realistic painter in terms of technique and follows a representational approach. Attachment to nature and the past are central elements in this artist's artworks.
In 2004, Noorani exhibited his works for the first time individually in an exhibition titled "Portrait of Sadegh Hedayat" at Elaheh Gallery in Tehran. His next solo show was held two years later at Tehran Artists' House. The first international appearance of this artist took place in 2009, and his works were presented with other Iranian artists in the "Compensation Agreement" exhibition at the Hilger Gallery in Vienna. A year later, his works entered Madrid's Arco International Contemporary Art Fair.
Noorani's attachment to the past manifests itself in both form and subject. On the other hand, he paints classically and tries to stand at zero degrees of meeting. His way of working with paint, brushwork, perspective position, color options, figuration, etc., is all borrowed from pre-modern painting methods. His subjects are often frames of historical periods and corners of the urban middle class's life. His paintings also give a nostalgic and aura-like character to the past and sanctify it in a way. The exterior or interior architecture of houses, social and family relationships, decoration, etc., are his tools in creating these nostalgic images from the past.
