Mohammadreza Baharnaz, born in 1954 in Tehran, began his photography career in 1979. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous national and international awards, including the first prize at the UNESCO Photography Competition in 1988, the gold medal at the Asahi Shimbun Photography Competition in Japan (1991, 1992, and 1993), the special award from the 6th Cinema Javanan Festival, and the second prize at the 5th Annual Exhibition of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
Baharnaz has played a significant role in documenting the lives of Iranian nomads. His works have been published in books such as "Eternal Travelers of the Mountains and Plains" (Soroush), "Nomads of Iran" (Yasavoli), "The Migration Album" (Sooreh), and "Nomads Alongside the Swallows" (Gooya). These collections artistically and documentarily portray various aspects of nomadic life and culture.
In addition to photography, Baharnaz has been active in judging photography competitions and organizing solo and group exhibitions.
