Mostafa Dashti, born in 1960 in Khash, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, has dedicated his career to exploring visual and artistic elements through painting. Over the years, he has developed a unique approach to expressing his ideas, establishing himself as a prominent figure in contemporary Iranian art.
Since 1986, Dashti has consistently contributed to the art scene, with his works showcased in numerous prestigious galleries and exhibitions across Iran and internationally, including cities like Tehran, Isfahan, Kashan, Dubai, and Los Angeles. His first solo exhibition took place in 1988 at Seyhoun Gallery in Tehran, marking a significant milestone in his career.
In the early stages of his artistic journey, Dashti focused on depicting desert landscapes, which were a reflection of his deep connection to the vast, barren expanses of his homeland. This strong bond with both natural and human-made landscapes continues to be a central theme in his work.
In recent years, Dashti has transitioned to more abstract forms of expression, with some of his pieces evolving into abstract compositions. He has also shown a growing preference for using darker tones, adding depth and complexity to his artistic vision.
