Shirin Ettehadieh was born in 1946 in Tehran. She received her diploma in interior architecture from London in 1973; After that, in 1980, she finished her studies in the field of history of design at the Louvre School in Paris.
After completing her studies in France, Shirin Ettehadieh returned to Iran and cooperated with Niavaran Cultural Center. After that, she thought of opening a bookstore, and in 1980, she opened the "Ketab e Azad" bookstore.
She held her first solo exhibition in Golestan Gallery in 1992. She has held many group and solo exhibitions in Iran and countries such as France and Lebanon. Shirin Ettehadieh’s first appearance in auctions dates back to 2016 at the Tehran auction house.
Shirin Ettehadieh’s works are the union between figurative and abstract; In some works, the figures are recognizable, but in some works, they go to the border of abstraction. Behnam Kamrani, an artist and art teacher, said in a part of the statement of the Shirin Ettehadieh’s exhibition at Vista Gallery: " Shirin Ettehadieh has used the subject of plants and flowers in different periods of her paintings. As much as she is an instinctive and passionate painter, she also uses her skills in mastering new compositions and color knowledge.
