  •  On 10 March in New York, Christie’s is proud to present the Post-War to Present auction that will offer a retrospective array of top-quality works from today’s leading artistic voices and the most celebrated creative icons of the past 50 years. With seminal artworks by Ed Ruscha, Glenn Ligon and Cy Twombly, the sale touches on expressive highpoints in the lineage of Post-War and Contemporary art. From Louise Fishman to Lee Bontecou, Elaine de Kooning to Shara Hughes, the Post-War to Present Sale is rich with exemplars by genre-defining female artists who engage with abstract idioms. Spanning time-periods and geographies, the auction also features standout artworks from Image World: Property from a Private American Collection, the Estate of Ella B. Schaap, the Estate of Ruth S. Stanton and Property Sold to Benefit Cleveland Clinic. Artwork by Bronx-native artist Marcus Jansen will be sold to benefit the Bronx Museum of the Arts, in the first of a series of partnerships on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary
