Context is the time, the place, and the cultural background against which the work of art arises. Occurence attempts to explore how the trio of context, subject, content can align themselves along the Historical. The exhibition wants to understand how artists deal with the Historical, which is the subject of these works.

Content is material, process, and historical forms, and the artist relates the work to the historical context. It is clear that history is the contextual background against which the viewer, the artist, and the work interact.
