The procedure of pricing artworks in the contemporary art market

Although artists are sometimes in a position to dictate prices to dealers because of their fame and bargaining power, dealers usually have the final say in pricing decisions. Because there are not only those who have to "work" with these prices, but also have more information about the market. But dealers deliberately do not price each work separately and on a case-by-case basis. Instead, they make pricing decisions based on what might be called a "pricing script."
